The Driver is a loner mechanic who night-owls as a getaway driver who gives his hires only 5 minutes to execute their crimes before he high-tails it.  His “I don’t know anything” attitude, meant to protect him from complicity, is what allows him to function.  The Driver makes a deal with a film producer/crime boss for a job meant to allow The Driver to be able to bankroll his next racecar.  In comes the dame.  An innocent, mother of a young boy, wiggles her way silently into The Driver’s life.  He comes to find out that her husband is in jail. Then he falls for her. Then things begin to unravel in this tense, stark, action flick that leads us all down the path to danger for everyone involved.
